The BlowUpDollz Score No 1 Hit With 'The Row' on National Campus Band Charts: Will Perform at Great American Music Hall, San Francisco Nov. 15

San Francisco, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Campus MovieFest) - The BlowUpDollz out of Stanford, CA are a four piece rock band consisting of Fisty Pyxx (Guitar/Vocals), Taxi Teaze (Bass/Backup Vocals), Razz Taztic (Electric Violin, Vocals), and Heddy Vodd (Drums). The highly energetic, all-girl band was selected to appear at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on November 15, as part of the First Annual Campus MusicFest Showcase - a spinoff of the long running and very popular Campus MovieFest.

Fisty Pyxx says, "We are very excited that 'The Row' is currently ranked No. 1 on the Campus MusicFest charts. (www.campusmusicfest.com).

We submitted 'The Row' to this particular competition because Campus MusicFest is a nationwide college competition and this particular song is our tribute to college life."

Pyxx adds, "Based on the overwhelming response to 'The Row' on Campus MusicFest charts, we can say it's definitely been well received. We have many other songs that we love, however, and we're excited to be performing those as well this Saturday at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, as we go up to compete against three other top-ranked Bay Area campus bands. We plan to hit the stage with a lot of energy and passion, with the goal of proving the BlowUpDollz deserve their current No 1 spot on the charts."

According to the band's website (http://www.sonicbids.com/blowupdollz.com), band members have definitely "an image you haven't seen in a while. We're bringing it back - old school chick rock with a fresh twist in energy and attitude." Put another way: "If Nikki Sixx and Joan Jett had a love child who was raised by Garbage, BlowUpDollz would kick it's ass, in high heels, while chugging a beer."

Within the first six months of being together, the BlowUpDollz went from playing in a garage to headlining the Whiskey A Go Go on Sunset Strip, rocking MTV's 2008 VMA pre-party as well as writing, recording, and producing a full 15 song album.

Pyxx says, "Our experience at Whiskey A Go Go was unreal. We were a young band stepping onto an old, world-famous stage - a stage that all my rock idols like Motley Crue and Van Halen had set foot upon while making music history, and that they all attributed as the place where they found their start. Here we were, a band that had yet to even reach its one year anniversary, ready to make our start. It was an extremely motivating experience to see 'BlowUpDollz' emblazoned across the headlining spot down on the legendary Sunset Strip."

"Regardless of being a young girl band, we're ready to stand up against the big boys of the music industry. We are an extremely determined group of girls and we are continuously being faced with fresh challenges that will take us to the next step towards success and we charge each challenge with an attitude that simply states, "We're ready for it... bring it on!" We've accomplished things already that bands have taken years to achieve like playing world famous venues and walking Hollywood red carpets. In addition our song, 'Tell Me Today", will soon be aired on RockRnR radio, while our song, 'The Row', will be a new AT&T ringtone download, and BlowUpDollz will even be a featured chapter in a new book all about chick rock bands. The truth is that we have gone into this experience with the mindset that we are not just going to be a college campus band that breaks up after we all graduate, but that we are going to do it, make it, and take the music world by storm."

The Campus MusicFest is being held in association with The Campus MovieFest, the world's largest student film festival. The Campus MusicFest Showcase features top student bands in the area, special bonus awards for participants in the world's largest student film festival, huge door prizes for attendees, a Guitar Hero III Mobile Showdown, and a chance to have fun in one of the country's greatest music venues.

Campus MusicFest is from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15. Ticket prices range from $4-$15. For more information about Campus MusicFest tickets, call (404) 875-9395. Age suitability for this event is 18 and up.
